Sending Waveforms using M1 Waveform Tools™
With M1™, collaborating
with colleagues across the hall or across the world is as simple as pressing a
button.

As is ASA's trademark, we give you plenty of choices to ensure
you're able to do exactly what you want to do. So you can choose to
email the waveform or to transfer it via FTP, and even set size
thresholds to tell M1 to automatically choose one or the other. Either
way, the recipient will receive an email with an attachment that will
automatically open M1 and load (or retrieve from the FTP server) the
waveform.

You can also reduce the size of the file to be sent in two
ways. First, you can compress the waveform prior to sending by
using M1's new VTC (Voltage vs Time, Compressed) file format, which in most
cases will provide 70-80% compression versus the older VVT format. Second,
if you're looking at a deep-memory acquisition but 'the interesting part' is
only a small portion of the total, you can choose to send only a portion of
the waveform by selecting either what is currently visible in a current
measurement window or by manually selecting the start and end points in terms of
percentage or time.

To really allow your collaborators to get to exactly what you
want them to see, you can use M1's M1 Snapshot™
format. In addition to the waveform data, an M1 Snapshot file contains all
of the measurements that you were looking at when you clicked Send Waveform. It even brings those measurements up to the same axis positions, Marker locations, and other settings that you had set, so they immediately see exactly what you saw as soon as they open the file.
