How to Save Waveform Data

Click on the Save button in the M1 control panel. A menu will come up to show your options.

Single Waveform

To save a single waveform, select Single Acquisition, and then select the format for the data file.

To preserve as much information as possible, we recommend using the VvT or VTC format. Their contents are the same, but the VTC format is compressed to save disk space, and M1 will take a little longer to read or write that format.

When you save a waveform, you have the option of attaching a note to the file. This note will be displayed whenever the file is opened.

Multiple Waveforms

To save multiple waveforms, such as when you are performing a sequence of acquisitions, select Continuous, and then select the format for the data file.

You will be asked to provide the folder and name of the first file in the sequence. M1 will automatically add a sequence number to each data file as it is saved.
