ASA to Provide
FREE M1 Standard Licenses
at DesignCon 2009
ASA will be providing a copy of
M1OT-Standard to every DesignCon attendee that stops by our
booth and registers with us. For customers currently struggling to
pull together the budget for a much-needed new scope, or new scope
software, this has the potential to save them between $25,000 and
$100,000 on narrow, expensive, proprietary applications from
ScopeCo.

Automation
White Paper
ASA has released a new White Paper entitled An
Overview of the Automation Capabilities of M1OT. This
White Paper details the numerous ways in which M1 Oscilloscope
Tools can assist in automating your work, from simple
point-of-measurement speedup of common tasks to enterprise-level
automation of collection, analysis, and storage of waveforms and
waveform analysis results.
If you're interesting in learning more about automation using
M1 OT, please

ASA's Site
Licensing Program
As of January 1st 2009, M1 Oscilloscope Tools will
be available under a Site Licensing model. M1 Site is
intended for deployment at the individual campus level and closes
a gap and now makes M1 licensing fully scalable: single unit
licensing, lab-wide deployment, site-wide deployment, and
enterprise-wide deployment.Mike Williams,
President of ASA, remarked "Despite what
the scope companies think, real customers have scopes from
everybody. They don't want limited, proprietary, expensive
scope software that requires you to buy 5 things to do one job.
Given the choice, real customers want to have a single, powerful
tool with a common interface, analysis engine, and data format
running on every oscilloscope regardless of manufacturer.
The addition of M1 Site to our volume licensing options now makes
having that easier and more affordable than ever."

ASA Best
Practices Now Available
Given our history
consulting on some of the hardest measurement and timing problems
in the industry over the past two decades, we have figured a few
things out about dealing with difficult measurement situations. ASA has
collected a number of our
Best Practices
into a single resource and posted them online
as part of our
Waveform Integrity Knowledgebase. The
M1 Help file has also been updated
to include this information so that
you will always have easy access to these hints whether you're
connected to the internet or not. This list not only covers recommendations for
getting the most out of ASA's M1 Oscilloscope Tools, but also
general recommendations for increasing the precision of any
measurements made using your real-time oscilloscope.
