This section provides guidelines and instructions for installing your M1 Oscilloscope Tools™ Software. There are five different sets of installation instructions, depending on your particular system setup. Please refer to the descriptions below to locate the installation instructions particular to your situation.

If you're having problems, please consult our online support , as your issue may already be covered in the FAQ.  If you are still having difficulty, you can email ASA Tech Support with the Subject: M1 Installation Problem.  Installation support by email is free for all ASA products.

General Requirements

In order to install M1™, your PC must meet certain minimum requirements. Additional installation-type-specific requirements are also included on the appropriate Installation page.

Installation Instructions

Laptop Installation
This section is for those users who wish to install M1™ on a laptop computer, to be connected to the oscilloscope via GPIB or USB-TMC.

LeCroy Internal Installation
This section is for those users who wish to install M1™ inside of a LeCroy Windows^®-based oscilloscope, for direct communication with the scope.

Agilent Internal Installation
This section is for those users who wish to install M1™ inside of an Agilent Technologies Windows^®-based oscilloscope, for direct communication with the scope.

Tektronix Internal Installation
This section is for those users who wish to install M1™ inside of a Tektronix Windows^®-based oscilloscope, for direct communication with the scope.

Normal Installation
This section is for all other users, who wish to install M1™ on a standard desktop PC, to be connected to the oscilloscope via GPIB or USB-TMC.
