From the time that ASA invented scope application software in the early 1990's through today, literally every single important advance and improvement in scope software capabilities and usefulness happened at ASA first. New functionality is released in M1 on average every 6-10 weeks and is yours at no charge as long as you maintain an active Subscription.
M1 Reader - M1 Reader is a low-cost product that has every feature and capability that M1 Oscilloscope Tools has, with one small exception: Reader cannot acquire live data from an oscilloscope; it is restricted to working with saved data.
One benefit of Reader is that you are no longer tied to the scope when doing your analysis. Instead, you can take data at the scope, then go back to the comfort of your desk and analyze the data using M1 Reader. This also frees up the scope so that more work can be done with the same number of scopes.
A even more important benefit is in fostering collaboration. If you need to collaborate with a colleague (whether across the hall or on the other side of the world), previously you may have been restricted to sending them a scope screenshot and a few numbers. With M1, you can now send them the entire waveform, which they can open with Reader and see the exact information that you see.
